About Hennessy VS x Les Twins “Ca Blaze” Cognac
In 1865, Maurice Hennessy, the great-grandson of founder Richard Hennessy, created a star classification system to distinguish quality in cognac. Hennessy’s 3-star Cognac went on to become Hennessy V.S. (which stands for “Very Special”), the most popular cognac in the world. Only the most distinctive eaux-de-vie comprise this cognac, which then matures for several years in oak casks expertly blended to uncover a warm, full-bodied flavor. On the nose, Hennessy VS combines intense and fruity character with pleasantly oaky notes. On the palate, robust flavors of grilled almonds abound, enhanced by vibrant notes of fresh grapes.
Released in 2021, this is a special limited-edition of the acclaimed V.S. It’s a collaboration with French urban movement creators Laurent and Larry Bourgeois, known as “Les Twins”. The partnership is a celebration of French heritage and pioneering spirit that comes in the form of two limited-edition designs. One features a digital likeness of Laurent, the other of Larry. Using motion capture technology, the pair’s energy was captured for these 2 striking designs. An original music video was released simultaneously with lyrics inspired by Hennessy.

About Cognac
Cognac is a type of brandy produced in the Cognac region of France.
Because the French take it very seriously, there are numerous rules cognac makers have to follow not to fall “short” into the brandy category.
The white wine from the specific grapes (Ugni blanc) has to be doubly distilled in a copper pot still before being aged for at least two years in oak casks from which the wood can only come from two specific forests in France (Limousin or Tronçais).
Depending on the age, there are three types of cognac, the youngest V.S. (Very Special), V.S.O.P. (Very Superior Old Pale), and the X.O. (Extra Old)
