In 2014 Guido Hube and his wife upped sticks and left their life in Germany behind to make wines. They farm 9ha of vineyards to insanely low yields and do everything by hand both in the vineyard and the winery. They are not allowed to use the Banyuls appellation as they do not add any alcohol to the wine to stop fermentation. Instead they make a late harvest sweet wine un sulphured Banyuls. This wine is so concentrated and full of figs, prunes, sweet balsamic, almond and raisins like Paneforte in a glass. This is a must have with hard cheese or chocolate desserts.
