Avignonesi is one of the legendary wineries of Italy and have now converted to biodynamics and the wines just keep getting better. This wine shows layers of developing complexity with notes of red liquorice, strawberry compote and dried red cherries with black tea and autumn leaves. The palate is full of these same fruits and leather, tobacco and a hint of mint. This is a must for roast lamb.
