Quinta da Pedra Escrita lies is in the southern Douro superior at 500 metres which means that grapes retain their freshness but still get great ripeness. This is made from the classic Touriga Nacional and Jaen and Sousao. It is packed with lovely dark fruit, liquorice allsorts, cardamom and cinnamon bark. On the palate hedgerow fruits, black olive, dark chocolate, plum, blackcurrant and cigars. This is a wine to enjoy with a hearty stew.
