Assyrtiko is the grape variety of Santorini in Greece, it loves the mineral rich volcanic soil and retains freshness even in the warm Mediterranean climate. On the nose this wine is very attractive with notes of baked apple, pineapple, anise and sage. The palate has a lovely round texture and is all about wet stones, spice and salt that is underpinned by the lovely fruit and juicy mouth watering freshness. A wine for drinking with a fresh fish ceviche.
