When we tried a sample of this rare amburana-matured whiskey, we immediately asked WhistlePig if we could have some as an exclusive, and after much begging they said yes. This 12-year-old Indiana-distilled rye whiskey was finished by WhistlePig in a a cask made of south-American amburana wood. It’s very rarely seen in whisky-making, more commonly being used to age cachaca, and it adds a unique fragrant character to the whiskey that makes it like nothing else. A must-try for all fans of American whiskey.
